How to Set Up MFA for Your Accounts

For Windows Users

  1. Enable MFA for Microsoft Accounts:

    • Go to Microsoft Account Security.
    • Click Advanced Security Options.
    • Under Two-Step Verification, click Turn On and follow the instructions.
  2. Use a Mobile Authentication App:

    • Download Microsoft Authenticator, Google Authenticator, or your preferred app.
    • Scan the QR code shown on the Microsoft security page.
    • Enter the verification code generated by the app to link it to your account.

For Mac Users

  1. Enable MFA for Apple ID:

    • Go to System Settings > Apple ID > Password & Security.
    • Click Turn On Two-Factor Authentication.
    • Follow the prompts to set up your phone number or authentication app.
  2. Verify MFA Settings:

    • After enabling MFA, test it by signing in from another device to ensure it works.
